To celebrate 50 years of marriage, couple wears the same outfit they wore in 1966

Carole-Ann and Jim Stanfield are a couple who are part of the small group of people who can proudly say that they have been together for 50 years. To celebrate the half-century union, the two decided to make a really exciting photo shoot.

In the photos, both Carole-Ann and Jim appear wearing the same clothes they wore on the wedding ceremony day, October 1, 1966. It all started when the couple's granddaughter, Hayley, asked to see the wedding photos. Grandparents Jim went to fetch the album and eventually found the clothes he and his wife wore on the day of the ceremony.

Before and after

Hayley was so excited when she saw the clothes she begged her grandparents to wear the pieces. They both agreed to try on the costumes again and surprised everyone with the fact that the clothes still fit perfectly.

The excited granddaughter then decided to plan a party to celebrate her grandparents' golden wedding, who wore their wedding clothes on the day of the event, exactly 50 years after the historic "yes". The wedding honeymoon was in Malta, where the two in love traveled. The next destination? Turkey, possibly.
