Weighing 25kg, World's Largest Rabbit Can Be Overcome By His Child

Considered the largest rabbit in the world, the British animal Darius weighs over 25 kq and is 1.34 m long. However, its mark is about to be surpassed by its own son, rabbit Jeff, who is already 1.15 m long and still has six months of growth.

The two rabbits belong to the 63-year-old Annette Edwards, who lives in Worcestershire County, England, and raising these giants is not easy. In the annual bill, there are about 2 thousand carrots and 700 apples, with a total that reaches the R $ 23, 000.

The breed called Continental is recognized as the largest among rabbits, but its size should not exceed 1.2 m. So Darius is already an exception, and Jeff goes the same way. "Darius has always been big, but Jeff is giant when we consider that he is still a baby. I hope he grows a lot bigger than his father, " says the proud owner.

Darius and his son, Jeff.

Because of their size, the two live in a backyard shelter of a size that is commonly used for German shepherds. But she emphasizes, "Even though they are giants, they are the best animal friends I could have."
