See the photo that took 6 years and 720,000 attempts to get ready

When a photography professional organizes an exhibition of a recent work, what the public sees is a small selection of images. There, among the photos chosen, are the records that worked most out of countless attempts. Even if we know this, we would be amazed if we knew in depth the persistent work of these expert professionals in capturing perfect pictures of reality.

Alan McFadyen, whose work is the subject of today's publication, is a photographer who has been dedicated to recording images of nature since 2009. Below you will see a photograph taken by McFadyen after six years of trying. In all, 4, 200 hours and 720, 000 photos were taken so that, finally, the perfect image was recorded. Look:

The photographer explains the difficulty: the photo he wanted to do had to show the perfect diving of the kingfisher, which should be at the right angle, perfectly straight and without much of a mess around it, and of course the photographer, who should be in the right place at the right time.

McFadyen said in a statement published in the Bored Panda that he could make 600 photos at once, recording different angles of the bird, but not getting the record he wanted so badly. Fortunately, after so many “imperfect” photos, he achieved his goal. Below, check out some of the photographer's attempts - let's face it, these are amazing images too:

The obsession with the kingfisher seems to have been influenced by the photographer's grandfather, who took him as a child to stroll through nature, observe the birds' nests and the behavior of these animals. These experiences left him enchanted with the beauty of the birds, and this charm turned into a beautiful profession.
