Rancho in the United States holds the largest collection of Star Wars items.

Are you a fan of the Star Wars saga and have some movie-inspired objects like Master Yoda dolls, androids R2D2 and C-3PO, a Darth Vader mask or even a Chewbacca stuffed? Your collection may be large, but does it have more than 100, 000 pieces? For an American has not only this number, but 300, 000 items referring to the Star Wars saga in his collection, holding the title of the largest on the planet.

Steve Sansweet, the owner of the largest collection of "Star Wars" movie items, is former director of Special Marketing and Content Management and current head of fan relations at Lucasfilm. He was recognized by the Guinness record book for his immense collection of saga objects, which houses his Obi-Wan Ranch - the 9, 000-square-foot site that has been transformed into a museum.

“I became interested in Star Wars as a result of my passion for science fiction. I read all the classic books, watched the crudest movies and TV shows on this topic, because until then there wasn't much of science fiction in the media. And then Star Wars came out and I became addicted from the beginning, ”said Sansweet in a video made for Guinness.

The museum is in the small town of Petaluma, California. In the large space, the owner conducts guided tours to present his incredible collection, which includes an exclusive Star Wars Pinball Arcade arcade room.

In addition, the rooms feature life-size Darth Vader and R2D2 LEGO dolls, as well as a battle droid and a dancing Cantina Band - a bar scene band featured in the movie “Star Wars - Episode IV: One New Hope ”(from 1977), the precedent of“ The Empire Strikes Back ”from 1981.

Sansweet has always been an avid collector of items. He is a former employee of the company that produced "Star Wars" and would have started his collection even before the first movie was released. According to The Huffington Post, the saga superfan purchased its first item from a Wall Street Journal colleague in 1977 and was just a promotional flyer from 20th Century Fox Films.

In 1996, Sansweet joined George Lucas's production company (Lucasfilm Ltd.) as the Director of Special Marketing and his collection began to skyrocket. Two years later, he opened Rancho Obi-Wan and achieved this incredible number of items you can check out in the video above.
