Missing boy is found in the stomach of a giant snake

We here at Mega Curioso already published several articles about snakes that were caught devouring animals like an entire crocodile, a porcupine, an antelope, a bat, an impala etc. In the publications, we even comment that although it is relatively rare, some snakes can attack humans. For, unfortunately, it seems that one of these dramatic incidents happened recently in Indonesia.

According to El PaĆs, an Indonesian news site has released an unverified video showing the moment when a group of people extract the lifeless body of a boy identified as Akbar Salubiro. The young man was 25 years old and has been missing since last Sunday, March 26.

* As the video footage may be considered strong by some readers, we at Mega Curioso chose not to include it in our story. However, if you want to watch the content, you can find it through this link.

Tragedy

Akbar reportedly left Sunday morning to collect palm oil, but by not returning home, his neighbors decided to organize a search operation. Then, 24 hours later, the group found a huge reticulated python ( Python reticulatus ) near the young man's yard that had visibly fed on some large prey. According to witnesses, shouts were heard the night before the animal was discovered - so soon the neighbors sensed the worst.

The snake, which was seven meters long, was captured and killed, and when its belly was opened, Akbar was found whole, still wearing his work boots. As you know, pythons are constricting serpents, that is, they wrap their prey and kill them by choking before devouring them whole.

Although some specimens can measure over eight meters in length and weigh over 130 pounds, the pythons are quite agile. These animals usually feed at night and prefer to attack animals such as birds, rodents and other reptiles, but they can also attack larger prey, such as those listed at the beginning of the story. Humans don't make it the usual menu, but unfortunately attacks can happen.
