Learn what causes stinky feet and how to get rid of this 'smell'

The above video briefly explains the causes of stinky feet and gives tips on how to get rid of this futum and keep no one else from your side.

The human being is almost completely covered by sweat glands, which control the body temperature and eliminate some substances. Most of them are “eccrine”, ie they eliminate sweat containing only water and minerals.

However, some regions have “apocrine” sweat glands, which usually develop at puberty and are responsible for the bad smell we produce. They focus on places like underarms, soles and groin. In addition to water and mineral salts, they release fat, which along with bacteria, produces the bad smell.

The sole of the foot has many bacteria and dead skin. If we don't wash our feet properly, we create great nests for germs to survive. Along with the sweat, they produce such a stench that we are so ashamed. To prevent the proliferation of bacteria and foot odor, the video above gives some advice:

  • Properly wash the feet, preferably with antibacterial soaps;
  • Use pumice or other scrub to remove dead skin from your feet;
  • If you produce a lot of sweat, you can put antiperspirant on the soles of your feet so they sweat less
  • It is ideal to wear socks that help your skin breathe better with fabrics like cotton;
  • Store your shoes in a well-ventilated place away from moisture to prevent bacteria from accumulating.

However, if you feel that none of this is working, you should look for a dermatologist who can recommend the most appropriate treatment. Foot odor can also be aggravated by hyperthyroidism, diabetes and obesity. That is, if you always had this little problem, it costs nothing to make an appointment, right?
