See what some foods looked like before agriculture came along

Did you ever go to the supermarket or the market to buy fruit and vegetables, and you stopped to think that they could be very different from what they are today? For many of these items were quite distinct, thousands and even a few centuries ago, before they were "domesticated" by agriculture, and underwent real transformation compared to what they are today.

The folks at New York Magazine have gathered a variety of overpopulated fruits and pulses on our tables today and compared them to what they were in the past before they were transformed by agriculture - and you're simply shocked by how much some of the food is. have changed! Check it out below:

1 - Bananas (before and after)

According to the New York Magazine, bananas probably started to grow around 7, 000 years ago in Papua New Guinea, and at the time they consisted of stiffer fruit and were full of hard seeds.

2 - Watermelons (before and after)

Watermelons, as you saw, were also very different from today! According to New York Magazine, originating in Africa, they began to become popular in the West around the 17th century.
