The survey considered the number of deaths caused by - unfortunate - animal encounters recorded between 2008 and 2017, and the total fatalities caused by cattle and horses (nervous) were 77. Attacks by other mammals caused the death of 60 same period, while the number of deaths resulting from bee and wasp stings.

Already the deaths caused by sharks and other marine animals totaled 26 from 2008 to 2017, those caused by snakes and lizards, 23, and dogs were responsible for the death of 22 people. Crocodiles attacked (and killed) 17 people, the bites of non-poisonous insects, 8, those of poisonous arthropods, 4, and the death of 1 person due to rat-borne diseases, and 1 who died because contact with any unidentified poisonous plant or animal.

And what does this survey tell us? Well, that Australians know the dangers of their land and that although they live with potentially lethal creatures, considering that the population is almost 25 million, very few people die from animal attacks.
