Did you hear about the 50,000 year old wolf cub discovered in Canada?

Turn and move we learn of incredibly well-preserved carcasses that have been discovered in permafrost areas - a type of soil found in the Arctic regions that is known to function as a kind of natural freezer, but which in recent years, on its own. of rising global temperatures, has been presenting problems of "functioning".

For the last creature found in remarkable state of preservation was a wolf cub that died no less than 50, 000 years at least - and is still intact even after all this time! According to Caroline Redmond of All That Is Interesting, the pet was discovered in the Klondike region of Yukon province in Canada by gold miners, and is the only such specimen ever found in the world.

Perfectly preserved

As you can see in the following image - and the one we use in the highlight above - the wolf, although it has died more than 50, 000 years ago, remains completely intact, presenting fur, fur and everything else, which is really amazing. Tell the truth ... Doesn't even make you want to touch the pet? Look:

Would you say this pet is 50, 000 years old? (All That Is Interesting)

According to Caroline, in addition to the wolf cub, the miners also found the partial carcass of a reindeer in a volcanic ash layer that was estimated to be nearly 80, 000 years old. Although the body of the second animal is not as complete as the wolf's, the hair, skin, muscles, forelegs, and other tissues are intact - and thus will allow scientists to discover a lot of things.

Although not complete, the reindeer carcass is also well preserved (All That Is Interesting)

That's because, as researchers studying carcasses explained, tests may not only reveal the causes of the animals' deaths, but their ages, what they ate and how they lived.

And if you just wondered if it was possible to collect viable genetic material for the cloning of these creatures, even though this information was not released by scientists, there are teams working to “resurrect” extinct creatures for thousands and thousands of years, such as mammoths, for example. If this will ever be possible, only time will tell, but what about you, we think we should bring these animals back to life? Tell it in the comments!
