17 tips for those who want to start makeup and don't want to spend too much

When I first became interested in makeup - more or less when dinosaurs dominated the earth - there was no blogger doing tutorials on how to pass kitty eyeliner without smudging.

The ideas of the time came from Avon magazines - where we bought a lot of gloss - and from the pictures of teenage magazines like Capricho and Sassy. But it wasn't easy to find colored shadows like the ones I wanted either.

If you're around 30, like me, you'll remember these lip glosses.

If the possibilities are endless today for anyone who wants to head into this world, the chance of getting lost and regretting it - spending your salary on things you definitely won't use - is great.

So, before going around wanting to buy everything that bloggers indicate (free and spontaneous pressure), get here and get some tips:

1. If your makeup arsenal is all about mascara and compact, let's take it easy. As tempting as it may be, you need to think about which situations to actually wear makeup.

2. Buying a 225 color case is no use if you don't know how to use it and it is restricted to the basic black dress. They will win (yes, makeup has an expiration date) and you will have thrown away money.

3. For a first purchase, you need to separate the areas of the face (skin, eyes, mouth, and so on) and think about the brushes. Believe me, they make all the difference! But you don't have to wait for your 13th to buy that international case: there are many affordable national brands.

Don't forget to clean the brushes well, ok?

4. If you are willing to buy all together, it is best to have a foundation brush, a powder brush, a shadow brush, a blush brush, and a lip brush.

5. Skin is often more complicated as it can be dry or oily, scarred or have dark circles under your eyes. So test it! Foundation, concealer and compact powder are the foundation of a good makeup. You definitely don't want to go around with your face smeared.

No trying to make such a "contour" at first

6. Usually, the most tempting part of a store is usually the shadows. The reason is quite simple: there are thousands of colors and possibilities. At first you will get lost and may not understand the difference between compact and powdery eyeshadows. I leave my tip: Powder shadows are a little harder to use, and you can panic when black particles fall all over your face and turn you into a charcoal.

For a killer shadow: buy a fixer

7. However, there are a few techniques to combat this: You can buy a very cheap loose powder and put a thick - very generous - layer under your eyes. At the time, it sounds weird, but when you finish using your black eyeshadow, just take the dust brush and remove that whole layer. This way, the dirt stays away from its base.

It may seem strange, but it will save you

8. At first, buy basic colors: black and brown, plus an illuminating shade.

Illuminator is indispensable!

9. Eyeliner is complicated? No doubt, but nothing a little training won't solve. The first step is to choose a type: it may not look like it, but the thinner the brush, the easier it is to apply. The explanation is simple: with it you can make the inner corner of the eye thin, as well as make that pulled killer of the kitten.

10. At first you will shudder, blur and never leave both eyes alike. So never let your skills test half an hour before that important party. Use that boring Sunday for that.

It takes but the result is amazing

11. Here's a tip I learned when I took a makeup course: start from the middle of the eye out - since the first stroke usually comes out thicker. You can do it until you finish the eye and then risk the "pull". Finishing this step, you pull the brush from the center to the inside. It is now that the stroke has to be thinner.

12. Was it a little shaky? No crying and taking it all away! Use a cotton swab with a little bit of makeup remover or even liquid soap to get the right line.

If you didn't get it right, no problem! The swab can solve

13. Remember that you will still layer upon layer of mascara, and believe me, it will disguise a little if the line is a little crooked.

14. When it comes to shading, you will also need training. Straight or rounded? You will have to test according to your eye shape. If you want to make that shadow very straight on the side, use a sticking plaster! Just stick to the sides of the eyes, paint over and then tear off. Voila!

When using more than one shadow, mix well the division between the two to form a gradient

15. For a more natural effect, always light. If you have passed a dark shadow, take a little of the illuminator and pass between the end of the shadow and your skin - this will ensure that the room is smooth.

Smoke to ensure a more natural result.

16. You think beautiful red lipstick, but are afraid to smudge? Prefer to apply with a thin brush: go around the lips and then fill them with lipstick. Now a trick that will make all the difference: If you don't like your mouth so outlined or if you get a little shaky, grab a cotton swab and lightly wipe it all around. As well as the smokey tip, it will make the division more natural and even out the contour.

If you want a softer color, wipe your finger on the lipstick and apply with light tapping on the lips

17. Take extreme care with blush! You don't want to go around looking clown, do you? Try not to buy anything extreme, neither too pink nor too brown. Time to apply, delicacy!

All these steps may seem complicated, but with practice you can do it all in 15 minutes! Don't get caught up in complicated tutorials or think that “that” product will work miracles. There's no point in having something expensive if you don't know how to use it, and it will soon be forgotten in your drawer.

Okay, now be a diva out there
