Andrew Myers, a California-based artist, has developed a new art technique in which he brings together sculpture, painting and modern materials, resulting in incredible three-dimensional portraits. The whole process takes many, many hours, in which the artist chooses the image he wants to reproduce, draws it on a wooden surface, and then applies numerous screws, attached at different depths, that will receive layers of paint to recreate all the shadows and nuances. of the original image.

Myers was born in Germany, but grew up in Spain, moving to the United States at the age of 20 to study art. The artist developed his skills through figurative sculpture and today blends modern materials with this technique, resulting in the innovative and modern art you can check out in the gallery below.
