Meet the man who is in love with McDonald's and has over 75,000 items

Mike Fountaine is a 60-year-old American who has caught the attention of international media by revealing the size of his passion for McDonald's. After all, Fountaine owns a collection of 75, 000 fast-food items, which are properly organized and cataloged into 398 categories and displayed on more than two miles of shelves.

Coincidence or not, the man also owns a restaurant of the chain. Fountaine said she started collecting memorabilia when she went to work at a McDonald's at 15. After completing one year of service, the young man received a brooch, which would be the first item in his enviable collection.

Today there are over 1, 000 cups, 11, 700 pins and virtually every Happy McLanche toy ever created. And even though the number of objects is more than impressive, Fountaine does not intend to stop anytime soon and has revealed that he adds about 100 objects per month to the collection.

“This collection means everything to me, it's the work of my life. Thousands upon thousands of hours were spent organizing the collection and gathering the courage to show it off in a cool way. I'm proud to be part of the McDonald's family. We say here that if you like the business it is because 'there is ketchup in your veins' and I certainly do, ”comments the collector.

Mike Fountaine receives the key to his McDonald's franchise.

In addition to the miles and miles of shelves that occupy nine rooms of his home, the American has just built a 220 square meter barn to store everything. In total, the collection occupies about 650 square meters of its property.

But Fountaine's big dream is to turn his collection into a museum with the help of McDonald's and use the value of tickets to help cancer patients who receive support from the Ronald McDonald Institute.

Really, we can't deny that he loves it all so much!
