Finnish photographer recreates her childhood photos as an adult

Photographer Wilma Hurskainen, a native of Helsinki, Finland, decided to recreate photographs from the time she was a child, portraying in great detail what the images presented. The purpose of the project is to try to find out how much she and her three sisters have changed over the years, and to that end, she assembled the quartet and reconstructed many photos taken by her father over a decade ago.

The photographer named the project "Growth" and was able to reproduce and compile around 30 different photographs from her childhood. The production of each of the images received special attention with respect to the faithful reproduction of scenarios and accessories of each of the girls.

Of course, it is not currently possible to rediscover exactly all the pieces that were used, so Wilma adapted the situations as closely as possible, paying close attention to each other's pose, where the pictures were taken, and the expression of the moment.

“I have always been attracted by the ability of photographs to traverse long periods of time, which allows us to create this kind of comparison, ” says Wilma on his official website.
