Thanks to a stranger's help, 4-year-old survives beheading

Killian Gonzalez is a 4-year-old boy who has recently had a bizarre experience of life - and near death. Victim of a car accident, he just didn't get his head torn off his neck because he had the help of Leah Woodward, a woman who rescued him moments after the accident and held the boy's head so that it was not separated from his own. body.

This type of trauma, known as internal decapitation, occurs when the muscles around the neck are ruptured, so that the head is attached to the body through the skin only. The boy's skull has also been separated from the spine - in these cases, only 1% of victims survive, usually after a series of surgeries. This was not the case with Killian, who, in addition to surviving, did not need to undergo any type of surgical procedure and should be discharged soon.

The boy is still in a hospital in Boise, Idaho, USA, where the accident happened. According to information from the Metro newspaper, he is walking, eating and sitting normally.

The accident happened when the family car skidded on ice and eventually hit another vehicle. Leah, who was in a car behind with her husband, saw everything and the two stopped for help. According to her, despite trying to stay calm, the moment she was holding the boy's head close to his body, waiting for the rescue, she was in a panic and had no idea what she was doing.

Fortunately, his act saved the boy's life, who now has an online campaign to raise money to cover the costs of his recovery. Do you know any amazing survival stories? Tell us in the comments!
