Eagle gets stuck in car after Hurricane Matthew passes

Hurricane Matthew hit Central and North America last weekend leaving a trail of destruction and death. One story, however, ended in a happy ending: In Jacksonville, Florida, an eagle was rescued trapped in the bumper of a car.

Worse, the car owner didn't even notice the eagle there. However, another driver spotted the animal and was startled when he shook his head, showing that it was real and not an ornament as he had imagined. The man motioned for the driver to stop and then both called the rescue.

The eagle is named after Matthew, and according to the vets is 7 years old. She appears to be in good health and without any injuries, but will only be released when all examinations prove her recovery from this scare.
