Dancing Liquids: The Mechanics of Fluids Like You Never Seen [video]

Kim Pimmel, a San Francisco designer and photographer, is responsible for the video you just saw above. Pimmel decided to experiment with various types of liquids - of different colors and consistencies - recording images that show fluid mechanics and the magnetism of materials.

To make the film, Pimmel used stop motion and time lapse techniques, and played the crazy scientist in his studio for over a month to get the images he wanted. It's amazing how substances seem to move and interact at the beat of the music.
