Model conquers the internet by squandering attitude and high self-esteem

Stories like Khoundia Diop's do deserve to be told. More than a model with a beautiful skin tone, she conquers all thanks to her high self-esteem and her haughty posture in the face of adversities that threatened to challenge her career.

It all started with the release of a photo of a project titled The 'C' Girl, which aims to give visibility to women with different skin types. Before long, the image went viral and transformed the model into the newest sensation on the internet.

Like so many other black girls, Diop has had to face prejudice since she was a child: “They called me a lot of things imagining that I would feel bad for my color; but do you want to know? I loved them all and showed them how I did not care about their opinion ”- reveals the Senegalese.

Rather than fussing with unfounded comments, the model proves to be way above what others think of her: not only does she use some of her nicknames as a "daughter of the night, " but she also spreads self-esteem and empowerment in her. Instagram profile called Goddess of Melanin.
