The Benefits Of Vitamin D For Female Fertility

Everyone knows that vitamin D is a fundamental substance for the proper functioning of the body. Another information we often hear is that one of the ways to stimulate nutrient production in the body is by sunbathing. However, new studies have revealed many other benefits of regular vitamin D intake and alternative sources where the substance can be found.

In a survey conducted in Austria, the rereading of previous studies concluded that the substance has a direct relationship with female fertility. The researchers responsible for the study concluded that ingestion of the substance - which is present in the male and female reproductive organs - increases the chances of fertilization and the success of pregnancy. The results were even more effective in pregnancies achieved from in vitro fertilization and with women who underwent polycystic ovary treatments.

Also, during the nine months of pregnancy, vitamin D has the power to improve the body's defenses, strengthen the endometrium and thus greatly reduce the risk of miscarriage. And the good news is not just for women: Researchers have also found that regular vitamin D intake is responsible for increased testosterone levels and even improves semen quality in the male body.

But before spending extended hours in the sun, be aware that vitamin D supplementation can be done through formulas or pills. But it is worth remembering that it is essential to have the supervision of a doctor before starting this type of treatment.
