It looks like wood, but it's ceramic! Meet this sculptor's amazing work

Christopher David White is a sculptor whose work, besides being extremely beautiful, is quite intriguing. Basically, White creates ceramic sculptures that at first appear to be all wood.

Each of his pieces is made by hand, and from clay bases White can produce works that are rich in detail and which, when finished, look like carved woodwork.

Exploring the intimate relationship between human beings and nature, the sculptor seeks expressions ranging from birth to death: "Change is a constant reminder that permanence is the ultimate illusion, " he said on his website. According to the artist, his work reflects precisely the phenomenon of the impermanence of the relationship between man and nature.
