At 9 years old, Josh Sundquist was diagnosed with cancer and, according to the medical team responsible for the case, his chances of survival were 50%.
With the help of chemotherapy, at age 13 he was already a disease-free person but eventually lost his left leg during treatment. The condition did not shake his self-confidence or his desire to live a normal life full of adventures and joys.
In 2006, he participated in the Paralympic Games in Torino, Italy, skiing. Today, he works as a motivational speaker and is acclaimed wherever he goes. “I've always dealt with the social discomfort of my disability with a sense of humor, ” said the young man, in a statement published in Bored Panda.
