Friendly, seal asks diver's belly caress [video]

Gary Grayson is an experienced 55-year-old diver, but was surprised by marine life on an adventure in the Isles of Scilly. A seal approached the Briton and "begged" his belly for affection, just as our pets do.

In the video, you can see how the animal approaches the diver and touches his hand, leading it towards the desired gesture. While receiving the affection, she throws back, showing to be quite relaxed and indicating that she is enjoying the interaction.

"I've seen seals in the water, but they usually pass us straight. None were as friendly as this, " Gary told the Manchester Evening News. The diver stated that the orientation was to sit near the algae without moving, but the animals did not avoid contact anyway.

"I've been all over the world diving with big stingrays and sharks, I'm not easily scared (...), but it certainly went beyond anything else I had ever done, " he assumed. The video was recorded three years ago and published in August last year, but only now viralized on the internet.
