Did a boat that disappeared 90 years ago in the Bermuda Triangle reappeared?

One of our readers - Wladmir de Alessio Junior, who has already sent very interesting agenda suggestions to our team! He said he saw a somewhat suspicious story on the Internet: a ship that would have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle 90 years ago would have reappeared off the coast of Cuba. Because as we are Mega Curious, we went to find out what a strange talk this boat is resurrected from the depths, and here's what we discovered!

SS Cotopaxi

The vessel in question would be the SS Cotopaxi, a merchant ship that disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle in the late 1925s while on a voyage between the city of Charleston, South Carolina, USA, and that of Havana, Cuba. According to some sources, the boat carried a cargo of just over 2, 300 tons of coal and had a crew of 32 men.

That would be SS Cotopaxi

As far as anyone knows, the ship's captain even sent a distress message informing the authorities that the boat was sinking. This, in fact, does not constitute what we might call a “mysterious disappearance” itself, however, as the Cotopaxi wrecked while supposedly navigating the famous (but unreal) Bermuda Triangle, the case eventually joined the list of associated omissions. to this location.

Rising from the depths

And it is not that in May last year news began to circulate that Cotopaxi had been intercepted by the Cuban Coast Guard near the coast of the island country! It took a while, but nearly 90 years after the boat's "mysterious" disappearance, it was finally reaching its destination.

Sinister ...

According to rumors, the Cuban authorities even conducted exhaustive searches inside the vessel, and they would even have found the captain's logbook! The problem is that, according to the sources, there was no living soul on board - and of course, another problem is that this whole story is completely false.

Scam

This fantastic ghost ship story, though it circulated on countless sites around the world - and surprised a lot of people - was just a joke. First to announce the news of SS Cotopaxi's reappearance was the British portal World News Daily Report, which not only published the information, but also included photos and everything! See the following image, which would show Cuban expert Rodolfo Salvador Cruz examining the logbook:

In fact, Cuban expert Rodolfo Salvador Cruz "non ecziste"!

It turns out that the World News Daily Report is a site focused on satirical news that, by its own description, may or may not use real names and employ them in full or in part. In addition, the portal also makes it very clear that all the news published is a work of fiction and is therefore totally false.

Incidentally, the news about the reappearance of Cotopaxi was not the only joke published by the witty website. WNDR staff have already reported about a firsthand testimony of a miracle of Jesus, an account of loggers felling the oldest tree in the world, and a story about the discovery of a prehistoric shark in Pakistan.

Therefore, if the case of the intercepted ghost ship in Cuba appears on your timeline, be aware that there is nothing supernatural going on in the seas. It is just a simple and curious joke.
