Turn your home oven into a pizza oven with this trick

If you love pizza and would like to try your culinary skills at home without having to invest a lot of money to buy or build a special oven, check out this gold tip posted by the folks at Instructables. They teach you a little trick so that you can simply and cheaply “adapt” the oven you have at home.

As you know, pizza stones not only bake dough and fillings more evenly and efficiently - as they distribute heat better - they can also be used to keep the pizza warm while it is being served. However, according to the website instructions, for your “culinary creation” to have that toasted layer on top, just place a spare stone on the top grill of the oven over the pizza.

According to Instructables, this second stone makes your oven work like those brick ovens we see in pizzerias, since the upper stone, once heated, significantly increases the heat between the two layers. But if you don't have these utensils on hand, don't worry! There is one more trick to work around this problem.

Pizza stones are made of ceramic, so you can use blocks of the same material - as long as they are not glazed or glazed - in place of the shapes. You can find them at specialty and building supply stores, just remember that both stones and blocks cannot be placed in the oven while it is hot!

Then, after placing the stones or ceramic blocks on the crates, turn the oven on as high as possible and let it warm for 45 minutes before baking the pizza.
