You will not believe that the following works were made with pencil

Australian artist Cj Hendry has produced a series of hyper-realistic designs that are part of the Courtesy Colors catalog. At first, when we look at each piece, we are sure that it is a brush stroke of paint, but each one is actually a pencil drawing.

With the help of a specific pigment, Hendry was able to make his designs bright and viscous in appearance similar to that of the thickly layered paint brushed on a canvas. Amazingly, this is his debut work in the world of color - before, his designs were all black and white and focused on pop culture icons.

The change had to do with the Christian Louboutin brand, which commissioned an exclusive work of the artist, to be exhibited during Art Basel Hong Kong. Each drawing took an average of four weeks to complete and, according to the artist, it took 12 different colors in a meticulous, detailed, realistic and incredibly beautiful process.
