Quite unexpectedly, Marvel and the Netflix video streaming service have announced a partnership that will yield four exclusive series and one miniseries, starting in 2015 with a production of the Daredevil character.

The other characters who will have their own series of 13 episodes each are Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, in that order. Then, after developing and presenting the characters, they should all be reunited in the miniseries of the supergroup "The Defenders", another gathering of Marvel supersers who fight threats of all kinds.

The setting will be the already famous Hell`s Kitchen area in New York, and several different years should be portrayed. The episodes will be produced by Marvel in partnership with ABC, the Disney television network.

In addition to being successful with original productions, Netflix has partnered with Disney because of the popularity of the company's productions in the subscription service, which includes Marvel Studios' own films, such as "The Avengers", and the trilogy. of Iron Man.

Who are them?

Iron Fist recently appeared as one of the selectable fighters in the game "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3". Already Jessica Jones (who debuted in the comic series "Alias") had a discarded TV series in 2010 written by Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of the first movie in the "Twilight" saga. Luke Cage, the usual partner of both heroes, was only prominent in the comics, but was quite popular a few decades ago.

Most popular among the four, Daredevil is one of Marvel's characters whose production rights were reclaimed in early 2013 after being sold to Fox (do you still remember the movie with Ben Affleck?). If successful, partnering with Netflix can yield material from other company heroes.
