17 amazing color photos of some of the latest Japanese samurai

The creation of the modern Japanese state after the Meiji Revolution of 1868 brought many changes to Japanese culture and from then on samurai, who represented 10% of the Japanese population, lost their rights to represent the country's armed force and even even using swords in public.

The photos you will see below show some of these warriors, which were pictured between 1863 and 1900. Some of the images were edited to be colored. Check out:

In the 16th century, when their husbands went out to fight, they armed themselves to defend their homes and the integrity of their children. In addition, they cleaned and prepared the torn heads of their enemies.
