7 Fantastic National Geographic Photos You Need to See Now

You don't have to be a big fan of campgrounds, chlorophyll juice and eggplant to be enchanted by nature. Toptenz has put together a series of images of nature elements that will leave you relaxed as if you have just left a meditation and yoga session.

In times of food and duck face photos on Instagram, there's nothing better than taking a vacation from it all and enjoying creatures and landscapes that are naturally beautiful. When these images are made by photography experts, then even better - no wonder they were all published in National Geographic. Check it out and then tell us what you think:

1 - The perfect dive

The timing of this photo is amazing. In it we have the impression that the bird is balancing on the surface of the water. The picture was taken on a river in Scotland by photographer Alan McFadyen. For the perfect click, the guy stood by the river for a total of 4, 200 hours and took 720, 000 photos - so never, never even underestimate the work of a good photographer.

2 - Huge Shoal

It looks like a horror movie scene or a fish attack, but in fact this picture is the record of just one common mating ritual in Cabo Pulma, Mexico. The photo is from 2012 and was taken by photographer Octavio Aburto, who won a contest sponsored by National Geographic - the other photographer who appears in the image is David Castro.

3 - Tanzania nap time

Because of this image, Mike Nichols was considered the photographer of the year in 2014 by the BBC and also by the UK Natural History Museum. In the images, only lionesses are resting, as males do not usually join them - in the Serengeti National Park region, there is a “Bolinha club” and a “Luluzinha club” in terms of rest. Another curious thing about this picture is that Nichols was only 16 when he took it.

4 - These lightning strikes in a volcanic region

Although the combination of lightning, lightning and volcanoes is not as interesting as possible, it cannot be denied that the photo below is simply fantastic. The person responsible for the registration is Francisco Negroni, who made the image during a photo shoot in Patagonia. The photo draws attention by the intensity of the colors and the contrast between them; It's hard not to be enchanted watching this picture.

5 - Tadpoles in Cedar Lake, Canada

Doesn't it look like a Disney animated scene? One of the coolest things about this photo is the fact that it is full of little creatures that usually don't catch our attention: tadpoles. The diffusion of light in the image gives it an almost magical aspect. The responsible for the incredible record of this swamp is Eiko Jones, who took the photo in 2013, as well as countless other underwater clicks.

6 - The Orangutan in the Rain

Andrew Suryono really did take good care of this picture taken in Bali just as he was preparing to store his camera due to the onset of rain. Fortunately, before storing the equipment, the photographer was able to see this wonderful scene and record it with praise. All of us, at some time or another, have been in the place of this orangutan.

7 - Ice Cave in Siberia

You will agree that taking good pictures of pieces of ice should not be the easiest task of all. Still, Andrey Grachev in 2015 managed to make this amazing record in a cave in Siberia. The composition of the image, from the tiny sun on the horizon to the multiple contrasts in the ice itself, makes this photo one of the most beautiful ever.
