Have fun with 41 of the funniest photos in the animal world

This year's edition of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, an award that selects the funniest pictures ever taken in the wild, featured the finalist images and what you see are brilliant and really, really fun records.

This year more than 2, 000 photographs were received, but only 41 were shortlisted. According to one of the award's creators, Tom Sullum, the images received are getting better in terms of both technique and content. He also said that the mood of each photo is evident every year and that although the team has evaluated thousands of images, they still receive photographs of animals that had not yet appeared.

Another nice thing about the contest is that anyone can participate even if they are not professional in photography. According to Sullum, about 70% of the images received are from amateur photographers.

Conscious Award

In addition to the humor of the thing, the award aims to raise awareness about the care we need to take with the environment and, of course, to raise funds through the dissemination or purchase of books for institutions that work with environmental causes.

“In 20 years some researchers estimate that elephants will have disappeared from East Africa. Lions will be next, ”commented Sullum as he talked about the importance of taking existing initiatives to protect nature more seriously.
