Clueless family almost turns cat food on safari in the Netherlands

Turn around and we Mega Mega Curious share stories of people who have had unfortunate wildlife encounters here - two of them in recent days, one about the owner of an animal sanctuary that was attacked by a lion in front of a group of tourists, and the other about a child who was captured and devoured by a leopard in a reserve in Uganda.

For little by little a tragedy involving people and big cats in the Netherlands - and the utter stupidity of animals (we're talking about humans, obviously). According to Isabel Ferrer of the El País news portal, the case was filed at a zoo called Safari Park Beekse Bergen and involved a French family.

Irresponsibility

Anyone who has ever visited parks like these - when visitors drive with their cars in areas where animals are kept loose - knows that there are several safety rules, such as keeping windows closed, doors locked, and slow-moving only on designated roads. to traffic and never (ever) get off the vehicle.

And what did such a family do while walking around the zoo? Yes, dear reader, you got out of the car. Not once, but twice. On one occasion with a small child. Can this? Power, it can't, but the visitors did it and almost didn't become a snack of a group of cheetahs ( Acinonyx jubatus ).

According to Isabel, the family apparently came across a beautiful group of cats resting “quietly” in the sun and decided to get out of the car to be able to pose with cheetahs for a better-looking photo. Since the animals didn't seem to have bothered with their family at the first stop, the goons probably cheered up and approached her for a second shot. And that's when the big boys realized they had easy fangs giving soup.

The whole thing was witnessed by other visitors - who filmed the entire superflight scene from the safety of their car. By the way, in the little video, which you can watch below, you can see how the mother catches the little child in a hurry and, frankly, it was very, very lucky that no group member was attacked and devoured by the animals.
