Finally! They found the ideal way to reheat a slice of pizza

Anyone who is a fan of a good pizza (ie the vast majority of people in the world) has certainly been through that terrible battle to heat up the food the next day. In the microwave, the slice usually has a soft dough and a rubbery stuffing with cold parts; In the oven or frying pan, the result is usually a hot stuffed pizza and a completely burnt crust. Basically, it's always a defeat for us ... Or it was.

Luckily, it looks like they may have found the perfect method to reheat their pizza and make it taste and consistent as if they had just come out of the oven. The feat is a result of Food52's efforts in conjunction with Roberta's Pizza's head pizza maker, who has revealed a considerably simple process to “revive” your food.

All you have to do is get a frying pan and follow these steps:

  1. Put the pizza in the skillet over medium-low heat;
  2. When the pizza crust begins to crunch again, add two drops of water to the pan and lower the temperature to low heat;
  3. Put a lid over the frying pan, letting the pizza steam for 1 minute;
  4. Remove pizza from skillet and serve.

Yeah. Something ingenious and at the same time extremely simple could have saved countless hot pizzas from just one medium meal. But at least now we have an almost as easy - and much more efficient - way to heat a slice as it would with a microwave.
