J-20, the newest Chinese fighter, makes its first demonstration flight

Since 2011, China has been commenting here and there on the J-20, its fighter plane that was theoretically designed to crash head-on with Russian and US models. But only now has the country officially presented the model - during an international aeronautics fair organized in Zhuhai City, Chengdu, the company responsible for manufacturing the aircraft, performed a demonstrative flight of two prototypes.

The company did not disclose technical information about the invention; however, according to Chinese Air Force officer Shen Jinke, "the J-20 fighter is the new generation of China-made stealth aircraft designed to meet the needs of tomorrow's battlefields." The National Interest newspaper estimates the aircraft has radar equipment and sensors similar to those employed in the US Lockheed Martin F-35.
