Jeddah Tower: Future 'World's Largest Building' Will Be 1km Tall [Gallery]

The project was developed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture. In an interview with The Guardian this year, company officials admitted that they used details of the architectural language of the Dubai building, such as the foundation moat and the surrounding towers. “His specific form comes from more of a new trend that is likely to spread to other projects, ” concluded Smith.

The construction and the challenges

Construction of the Jeddah Tower has already begun and, according to information from The Verge website, is on the 26th floor. However, much work remains ahead as the final design foresees 200 floors in total. The tower project is expected to have a total cost of $ 1.23 billion and will include several developments, such as offices, apartments and a luxury hotel company "Four Seasons".
