Within hours of writing his thanks for the coming year and his expectations for what was beginning, DeRemer, 31, was killed in an accident caused by a drunk driver. The tragic end of the American's life is serving as the last message left by him on Facebook to circulate around the world. Check out:

Last day of 2015 !!!! For me I'll be meditating through all I do, on this entire year. I've lost, I've gained, family is ...

The image he posted bore the following message: “We were born in one day. We died in one day. We can change in one day. And we can fall in love in one day. Anything can happen in just one day. ”

Underneath the picture, the message written by him - in free translation: “Last day of 2015! For me, I'll be meditating on everything I've done this whole year. I lost, I won, family is closer and stronger than ever, loved ones lost and new friends found. There have been many times when I found myself on my knees praying for hours (tirelessly) and other times when I led a prayer group, my faith (which I love to share) is a daily awakening (to me) that people, lives and circumstances can change for the better with time. I look at the huge challenges of 2015 that I have overcome, shared with others and once again here I am ... to say thanks and May 2016 come, there is a lot of work to be done!

And I really don't know where I'm going to end tonight, but I know where I end up is where I should be. ”

Unfortunately, within hours of this publication, DeRemer's motorcycle was hit by a car driven by a drunk driver. Upon learning of the tragedy, DeRemer's friends shared his year-end publication, so full of meaning. So far, the last message left by him in life has been shared over 20, 000 times.
