Ok Go launches mind-blowing clip filmed in zero gravity

The American band Ok Go exploded on the music scene in 2006 with the brilliant video of "Here it Goes Again", which became known as "the track clip". Since then, they specialize in genius videos for their songs - and it couldn't be any different with “Upside Down & Inside Out”, released on Thursday.

The video begins with a not-so-synchronized laptop opening by band members ...

... but that's just until the crazy things really start to happen. Since the clip was made in zero gravity, you can switch magazines even while away from your buddy:

Or even fly out of the cabin:

The clip was made in partnership with Russian company S7 Airlines, which had long wanted to record a video with the band. They perform flights that simulate microgravity, which can create effects like this:

This happens when the model IL-76MDK aircraft creates a parabolic trajectory, soaring at a 45-degree angle and then flying downwards. This generates 25 to 30 seconds of weightlessness, responsible for this air ballet:

Recorded in October 2015, the “Upside Down & Inside Out” video took about 2 hours and 15 minutes to make, with over 20 up and down movements of the plane.

It took a full sync between the plane's movements and the pause / play of the song so that the clip could be made to be cuts. In total, Ok Go members experienced more time in zero gravity than an astronaut experiences in a year! It's easy?

This was also a great way for S7 Airlines to show their full potential and get new passengers for this non-gravity adventure. Would you dare to risk it? Just over 5 hours after its release, the video had been viewed over 5 million times on the band's official Facebook page. Is this synonymous with another success?
