When ordinary people are turned into iconic idols

With a helping hand from fashion designer Lucie Vervellea and makeup artist Joris Souris, ordinary people have been totally revamped and made into the greatest pop culture idols of all time. In all, the duo recreated more than 150 stars in the studio, and all new versions had one thing in common: creativity and precision in reproducing the original features.

The images are part of a photographic essay called ICONIC, which for 2 years has been trying to rescue the history and representativeness of these figures so emblematic for the history of cinema, music, literature, science, politics, fashion and of religion. Next, you check the result of the work:
