Time lapse shows our planet through NASA's eyes [video]

Tomislav Safundžić, a Croatian boy of only 18, is responsible for the - absolutely fantastic - video you just saw above. Taking "borrowed" images and clips released by NASA, Safundžić has gathered all of this material into a beautiful time lapse that shows our planet in a completely new way.

Videos that record the passage of time accelerated are nothing new. However, this is the first time we can see continents, oceans, stars and even the aurora borealis in such a dynamic and aesthetic way. According to the boy, the material that makes up the film was made available by NASA's Lyndon Johnson Space Center, and includes numerous clips made by astronauts from the International Space Station.
