For many, there is still a perception that people who do not have a high quality or regular education cannot succeed in life. In Brazil, we have many cases that prove the opposite and we can find several businessmen, intellectuals and recognized professionals who had their studies limited.

It is obvious that education is the most important good that a country can provide a child and is essential for the good formation of the human being. 6 - Steve Jobs - Apple Co-Founder

It is easy to remember some current geniuses who did not even finish their higher education studies. Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are some of them. But perhaps the most influential technological mind of recent times that has spent little time in the classroom has been Steve Jobs, Apple's co-founder.

Jobs attended college for only six months and after that spent time in a hippie community in the state of Oregon. Just months later, Steve returned to California and got a job at Atari. Remember that the commitment to send Jobs to college was a condition imposed by his birth mother so that his adoptive parents could adopt him.

5 - Henry Ford - Industrial and Entrepreneur

Founder of the Ford Motor Company and the first businessman to apply serial car assembly, Henry Ford had a very limited formal education.

He was born on a farm near Detroit where he worked with his father who believed his son would do the same job as him. There, he was already doing repairs to machines and enjoyed watching their mechanical operation.

But instead of staying in the field, Ford left home at seventeen to become a machine operator apprentice in Detroit, a career that took him to another level on his path to becoming a wealthy businessman. Successful.

Although he had almost no formal education, Ford created the mechanized assembly line and it didn't take long for people to recognize his talent and make him an icon for his work.

4 - William Shakespeare - Poet and playwright

One of the most famous names in literary history, William Shakespeare has produced some of the most romantic fables the world has ever known, from Romeo and Juliet to Macbeth.

However, its own history is not well known. In fact, there are no records to suggest that he received any formal education at a young age. Scholars believe he may have attended a King's New School, but they also assume - based on some of his writings - that he did not attend classes after the age of thirteen.

3 - Winston Churchill - Statesman and War Leader

Winston Churchill, one of the most important political figures of the twentieth century, was born in the aristocracy. This is no surprise to explain how he climbed the ranks to lead the United Kingdom to victory during World War II.

However, the surprising thing is that he achieved this with a limited education. Churchill was born into a family of possessions and had access to the best education available, but that does not mean that he took advantage of these opportunities. He struggled at school and did badly on his tests. Military service was also hampered by his poor performance. Even so, it has become an important figure in world history.

2 - Abraham Lincoln - US President

Perhaps the most popular US president in history, Abraham Lincoln was the ideal man to lead the United States from 1861. He guided the nation through what was perhaps one of the most worrying moments.

But this man who gave the Gettysburg speech and effectively ended slavery in the United States did not have a regular education in his life. In fact, he was self-taught and even had a not-so-honorable reputation for being lazy. But that did not prevent him from later becoming a frequent reader and accomplishing his political career achievements from his early twenties.

1 - Albert Einstein - Physicist

The man behind the world's most famous equation (E = mc²), the theory of relativity, and a Nobel laureate was, in fact, an authentic "problem child" in high school. His elementary school teachers thought he was a dreamer, and one of the teachers even asked him to drop out of his classes.

Although he loved science and math, he didn't like school and finally dropped out of school. Without a high school diploma, he had to take special exams to enter college, failing on the first try, but then struggling hard. And the rest is the story of genius that the whole world knows.
