8 Fascinating Images Showing People Watching Solar Eclipses

As we have already reported here at Mega Curioso, on August 21st the Great American Eclipse will take place, the first total solar eclipse in more than three decades that can be tracked in various regions of the US - and in Manaus, Rio Branco and northern areas. from Brasilia here in our little land. Well, although unfortunately this event is not visible to many Brazilians, it has been eagerly awaited by the Americans.

According to Anika Burgess of the Atlas Obscura website, hotels on the eclipse route are getting crowded, airlines are offering special flights so that the event is accompanied by the sky and there are already numerous lists being released of the best vantage points. There is even a commemorative stamp being issued to mark the occurrence of the eclipse!

But, don't think this whole dazzle is recent, no! As you can see in the following images - assembled by the Obscura Atlas -, it is not from today that everyone stops to watch the eclipses. In fact, the photos are almost as fascinating as the astronomical events themselves! Look:
