Japanese create tea with marine animals that “come alive” in cups

Nothing more relaxing than having a very warm cup of tea. The ritual for this has not changed much since it was invented around 729 in Japan. However, packaging designers have also sought to innovate in this market to make the moment even more special. Ocean Teabag (Japan) tea company has created lovely tea bags that will make you finish this news with a great desire to have one.

In partnership with a bizarre shop and bookstore, the Japanese company has created a series of animal-themed tea bags. In particular of varied marine animals such as jellyfish, octopuses, dolphins and even penguins.

The great advantage of these bags is that by putting water in the cup, they give the impression that a creature is swimming in your tea. The scene is definitely worth recording on Instagram.

Each Ocean Teabag tea bag costs 1, 820 yen, or $ 16. The company started its first animal project three years ago with a dolphin bag. The success was so great that the company bet on other designs. The Japanese company has only 10 employees, but it is expected that with the increase in sales, this number will also grow.

The company already has more than 50 exclusive teas and among the best selling are those of squid and octopus bags, which taste different black teas and other fruits, in order to reproduce the ink present in the body of squid. One of the cutest teas is penguin teas, which have a delicious chamomile flavor.

Did you know?

Tea was long associated with the Japanese nobility and was considered a kind of medicine (for our grandparents still are, isn't it?). Today, although widely consumed in Japan, tea production in the country is decreasing.
