Magnificent: Young Girl Records 500-Day Motorcycle Trip Through the Americas

If you are a freedom-loving person who has always dreamed of seeking a dream on the world's roads, you will be enchanted by the story of Alex Chacon. The Texas-based boy completed a journey of over 130, 000 kilometers on a long tour of the Americas, accounting for 503 days in total.

The journey included only the company of his inseparable motorcycle and some cameras to record the memorable moments experienced by the young adventurer. To make him want to do what he did exponentially bigger, Alex compiled images he shot from various parts of his journey into a video - which you can check out above.

It is worth noting that his jaw will drop when he sees the different weather the rider has been through, from a salt desert, to snowy roads or mountain-tops (in Andean America). In all, Alex has collected over 600 hours of recordings, many of which have been posted on YouTube and have already accumulated thousands of views in a matter of a few days.

Detachment and adventurous spirit!

The adventure began in El Paso (Texas) where Alex resides with his family and the journey extended to Ushuaia, which is one of the extreme points of South America, Argentina, also known as “the end of the world”. On the way back, the biker Chacon climbed through Brazilian lands, even crossing the entire continent until reaching the negative temperatures of American Alaska. After that, nothing like going home.

In addition, the boy worked for two straight months keeping his payments, sold his car, his clothes, donated blood, and grasped tooth and nail every possible opportunity to earn some money.

One of the inspirations that weighed heavily on the decision to embark on the adventure was Che Guevara's book, “Motorcycle Diaries” - also available on film in Brazil. So Alex Chacon faced many road hazards, asphalt roads, muddy roads, and even rivers, saw tropical storms and tornadoes, not to mention the heavy snowfalls in icy Alaska. The boy slept wherever they accepted him, from student hostels, gas stations, or to the homes of people he met along the way.

You can find other photos of Alex's expedition on the boy's Google+ profile or by visiting the official website of the venture. Who would dare to drop everything for almost two years and set foot on the road? It's worth checking out the video above and the images below before responding. Congratulations Chacon!
