Expanding the inventiveness of Coca-Cola machines that trade cans for hugs or songs, a new project presented by advertising students at Miami Ad School Madrid bet on the brand's multinationality. It is a machine capable of accepting the currencies of any countries.

Titled “The Worldwide Machine”, the proposal by students Gabriel Morais, Erika Reyes and Sandra Silva was accompanied by a very convincing text:

“Coca-Cola no longer has a nationality, a flag or borders. Worldwide Machine represents just that. This unique machine can be placed at international airports, accepting any currency. That's because no matter where you came from, Coke is from there too. This is a good use for bulk coins, both for travelers arriving in a foreign land and for those returning home. ”

A well known technology

In addition to advertising language, the device will be programmed to recognize original banknotes and immediately set the price of a can for any currency - even if the payment is made with a combination of several.

But the technology behind the news is, in fact, nothing new at all. It is the same mechanism used in international ATMs - through which you can exchange, withdraw and deposit money from various nationalities - based on magnetic sensors and conversion calculators.

Whether for cash or soft drinks, this is a very welcome technology, especially for large international events - World Cups and Olympics, for example.
