One step at a time

I was always in the sedentary group, the ones that always seemed to escape the PE class. One day the excuse was colic, the other knee, the next headache ...

Over time, however, there is no escape: I signed up for a gym and until I enjoyed the bodybuilding, which I practiced for a year, but stopped and never came back. Since then, I've been exercising sporadically: that weekend hike or a little time on the exercise bike.

I even ventured into the rope hops. Result: Because of the lack of custom, the other day I could barely walk because of calf pain.

Until last year I met a lady who at the height of her 70s accumulates marathon trophies and considers running events under 10 kilometers just a warm-up. So I thought why not give it a try?

Because of my routine, I was only able to put the training plan into practice this April, and I finally discovered something I like and miss.

Officially, running burns 500 to 800 calories per hour, improves breathing and circulation, tones muscles, prevents bone loss and even releases wellness-enhancing substances such as endorphins.

For me, running is not only good for the body but also for the spirit. Do you know that day when you are sad, or that nothing has gone well, or that you simply need not think about anything? Yeah. I love to turn the music on high, preferably on a sunny day, and run to tired - there's no better medicine.

Yes, of course it is lazy. But the key is to start and then worry about step after step without thinking about where you need to go. Just feel the body.

So, does anyone get excited to start?
