Warner is sued for using Louis Vuitton fakes

Fakes of luxury goods have already reached the cinema. Louis Vuitton has decided to sue Warner Bros. by the use of non-original versions of your travel bags. The replicas appear in the movie “If You Don't Drink 2” being carried by the character Alan, who even makes a reference to the brand (“Watch out, it's a Louis Vuitton!”).

The Maison's petition has already been submitted to the Federal Court of New York, claiming that the trademark has been harmed by this exposure.

The counterfeit version was produced by the Chinese-American company Diophy, which was later processed by Louis Vuitton, so that its items could not be sold on US territory.

It appears that the Maison's trademark dilution claim, false designation of origin and unfair competition have everything to prove easily. And Warner's positioning should make the process even easier for the designer: even after being instructed to change the scene before the release of the DVD, the company ignored the warning.
