Sheep are employed as 'lawn mower' in Paris

Why waste on machines and gardeners if we can take advantage of an organic lawnmower that is not only efficient and not salary - nor does it have a list of burdens - it will just love to do all the work? Yes, in Paris they decided to employ a flock of sheep to “mow” the lawn in the city's gardens.

According to the BBC, the initiative is part of a pilot project, and the team of ecological “gardeners” is made up of four sheep from the Isle of Ouessant, located in the Brittany region of France. They will be responsible for maintaining a well-trimmed area of 2, 000 square meters over the next six months.

If the sheep do well during the “probation period”, other recruits may be cast, replacing lawnmowers elsewhere in the French capital. Those responsible for the initiative consider the "work" of these animals a great ecological alternative to replace the machines, which, besides making noise, are also polluting, since they are powered by fossil fuels or electricity.
