7 Self Defense Techniques You Can Apply When Attacking

1. Front Throttle

If you happen to be grabbed by the neck, you should make your head as firm as possible, slightly bend your legs and try to lean your body forward to get rid of the aggressor. Trying to push the attacker's arms up is in vain. You can also try to grab one of the person's arms, put the arm around the back of your neck, and bring it down. Another option is to try to twist the arm of the one holding you. Watch these three techniques below:

2. Using a key

You may have already considered using your house key to defend yourself, considering the possibility of piercing the person. However, it is very easy to get hurt if you do not have the ability to do so. Ideally, hold tightly the same way you open a door and use the key to cut the offender. In the video below, you can see some ideal points to hit someone in case you need to employ this technique:

3. Hug from behind

If you get caught from behind, some jiu-jitsu techniques can get you out of the grip. First, you should try to raise your aggressor's arms; Then just try to get out from under and knock it down with a creep. You will fall along, but will get rid of the bear hug. Check out:

4. Stranglehold from behind

A very common technique of violent approach is the application of a lion kill from behind, suffocating the victim. The situation may seem daunting, but you can try to knock your opponent over by throwing him over his own body. Remember to grab the attacker's arm. Watch:

5. Disarm a person

It is important to remember that reacting to assaults is never the best option. However, if you are putting your life at risk by doing so, you should know at least some technique. Krav maga movements seem simple to watch, as in the video below. Just “hold” the barrel of the weapon, move it away from your body and hit the opponent with a punch. Sounds easy, but I wouldn't try it:

6. Grabbed by the wrist

If you are grasped by one or both wrists, you can get rid of the attacker by rotating the arm. Remember, however, that as soon as you are free, your opponent will be too, and he can react to that. Another tactic, if the perpetrator is a male, is to try to hit a kick in your private parts before attempting to release your arms. See how:

7. Knife Attack

There are a few options if you are about to take a stab and have nothing to defend yourself with. You can make a 120 degree angle with your arm and try to block the attacker's movement. Remember to leave your hand on the lock arm open and firm to widen the surface that holds the attacker. After the block, you can try to hit some kick or punch to disarm the miscreant.
