Thrilling: The Story of a Donut Vendor and his Sick Wife

We usually do everything possible for those we love. John Chhan is a little man who lives with his wife Stella in Seal Beach, California, and together they run a small donut shop. The establishment has been operating for almost 30 years, to the point that the Cambodian immigrant couple knows virtually all of its clients.

Some time ago, however, the crowd began to notice that John was alone in the trade. Stella suffered a severe aneurysm at the end of September, becoming quite debilitated and having to spend most of her time at home. Gradually, with much effort and dedication, she is recovering her speech and movements.

However, your husband needs to run the trade so that both can continue to have a source of income. When a client named Dawn Caviola learned of the story, she had an idea: "What if John could come home early to be with his wife at such a delicate moment?"

Community teamed up for John to sell donuts as soon as possible

Dawn joined a social network and shared the idea. The neighborhood quickly joined the cause, causing John's candy to run out quickly - before he closed the store around 1 pm, now there are days when he can get home before 10 am! Even an online kitty was suggested, but John declined the offer: money is not necessarily a problem for the worker, he just needs to stay with his wife longer until she is better.

It is for these and others that faith in humanity should never be lost. “We will always support them, especially in times of need like this, ” said client and friend Marc Loopesko. John doesn't know how to thank such kindness in his community. "Stella is much better now, already able to communicate and relearn how to eat food, " said the proud husband.
