Rio de Janeiro's winter 2012 fashion show season has just ended, raising trends that are likely to be at Sao Paulo Fashion Week, which begins next Friday, January 19th.

In carioca lands, tailoring, jeanswear, futurism, structured looks, warm fabrics, geometry and sensuality marked the parades. For São Paulo, some of these trends are also expected. However, surprises always happen and designers keep theirs to dazzle the public using new modeling, choosing technological or even more rustic and handcrafted fabrics, launching exclusive prints, daring, innovating and surprising fashionistas.

Behold, some designers who will be at SPFW revealed to the press some aspects of their collections that will be shown at the event, giving a little taste to those who look forward to the happening of the Brazilian fashion stage in São Paulo. Among them are André Lima, Reinaldo Lourenço, Fause Haten and the Colcci, Iódice, Huis Clos brands and many others who have already opened the fashion secrets vault for Winter 2012, offering a preview of those out there.

Check out some of the brands and designers that will be at SPFW and the main trends they will present to the public:

Pedro Lourenço

The most talented Pedro Lourenço has the fashion in the blood. Son of Gloria Coelho and Reinaldo Lourenço, the designer increasingly surprises the fashion market in Brazil and abroad. Peter recently presented in New York his fall pre-collection full of blazers and structured vests, straight silhouettes, tube dresses, jagged pockets, cutouts, fur and double-waisted trousers. A touch of futurism combined with prints of Patagonian landscapes and gradient colors.

Pedro's collection to be presented at SPFW will feature these pieces and others that have not yet been shown in New York.

In early December 2011, Glória Coelho presented a pre-fall 2012 parade in which geometrism was present, giving a preview of what's to come at SPFW.

The designer explored shades dating back to the 60s, 70s and 80s in various forms of designs such as triangles and squares. Also plaid pieces, marked cutouts, transparencies, shirts, the use of leather details and colors like orange and blue also appeared.

André Lima

André Lima will bring to his parade tweed pieces in an even more elegant way in party looks. In addition to this trend, texture mix and tailoring will also have their place in the Lino collection. Long shirts and skirts will be featured, and in shades black and earthy will prevail.

Neon

Dudu Bertholini and Rita Comparato have never hidden their passion for bold colors, intense prints and large, loose shapes in the Neon collections. However, for winter 2012 the designers planned something a little more sober and marked by tailoring.

The new collection that will be on the SPFW catwalks has an ethnic inspiration from Istanbul, Turkey, where the duo were recently. What is expected are more structured pieces, such as suit jackets, short dresses and suit jacket, with colors such as navy blue, black, pink, orange and wine.

Alexandre Herchcovitch

For the SPFW show, Alexandre Herchcovitch prepared a collection in which jeanswear will be the focus. In layers and monochromatic lace also appear in pieces such as dresses, skirts and blouses, without being transparent. Chess pieces also appear. Heavier coats and colors like burgundy, camel and rust will also be part of the collection.

Huis clos

Sensuality in fabrics, modeling and inspiration will be the main highlights of Huis Clos collection created by designer Sara Kawasaki. Wet velvet pieces, sets, lingerie details, jumpsuits are some of the trends that will be shown at the SPFW show. In the color chart, old gold, ocher and sorbet green.

Tufi Duek

Designer Eduardo Pombal will take futurism sensuously to the catwalks with the Tufi Duek collection. Metallic fabrics, body-worn dresses and textures that refer to the moon's surface are some of the surprises that Pombal prepared for the SPFW.

Idiot

Valdemar Iódice has prepared a collection where the mixture of materials, asymmetry, prints and embroidery will be present. And metal, leather and aristocratic climate, featuring a bold and safe woman.
The pieces will also be marked by tailoring in wider options of coats, jackets and maxi vests. The color chart highlights black, beige and bronze.

Colcci

A show in which stars like Ashton Kutcher and top Alessandra Ambrosio will be featured, Colcci's presentation will bring in the collection created by designer Adriana Zucco a focus on classic jeanswear combined with other materials such as wool and twill. The color chart will have shades of brown, navy, purple, green and red.

Fause Haten

Designer Fause Haten will bring SPFW catwalks a Hawaii-inspired winter collection. Contradictory, isn't it? But for that very reason it deserves attention. Good surprises come around in strip dresses, transparencies, synthetic fur stoles and a color chart in which black, beige and green stand out.

Ellus

Ellus designer Adriana Bozon has created a winter collection where the highlight will be the leather denim material, a technological jeans that mimics the look of leather. This material will be in pants, dresses and coats.

Rodrigo Rosner

The rookie of the season will present a collection inspired by moths, making it a concept for embroidery and volume traces.
