Wikipedia

In 1935 Mickey Mouse was banned from Romania. At that time, 3-meter-high movie screens were still new, and the government was concerned that children might be frightened by a giant rodent.

3 - It is the fault of the helmets ...

In 1929 German censorship prohibited the screening of a movie called "The Battle of Barnyard." This was because an army of shorthair cats wore a helmet style similar to that used by the German army in the 19th and 20th centuries. In justifying the censorship, the fact that cats wore that kind of helmet seemed to offend national dignity.

4 - ... and also of mice

The German government continued to show its dislike for Mickey Mouse in subsequent years, claiming that it saw no point in a small, dirty animal being idolized by children around the world. "Mickey Mouse is the worst idea ever, " the government said. The character was completely banned by the Nazis, but eventually became popular again.

The apparently most hated mouse comics in the first half of the last century were also banned in Yugoslavia, on the grounds that the characters appeared to be too angry and that this could influence the population and thus undermine the reign of Peter II, who had only 14 years old at the time. 8 - The sons of Mussolini

You may recall that in 1938 Italy was a place free of all American influence except for Mickey who, believe it or not, was not banned.
