Check out a 360 degree photo of Mars

Since Curiosity landed on Mars last year, several photographs of the red planet have been sent, so that NASA and the world have been able to learn a little more about what one of Earth's “neighbors” looks like. Now, as you can see above, a 360 ° photograph has been published.

Here you can see a huge part of the landscape of Mars, just use your mouse to guide the view. In addition, you can also get to know Curiosity a little, as part of the robot's structure appears at the bottom of the image.

Cool, but how was it made?

Photographer Andrew Bodrov is responsible for achieving this spectacular image of Mars. To this end, he combined 407 different photographs taken by two Curiosity cameras, the Narrow Angle Camera (NAC) and the Medium Angle Camera (MAC) - 295 photos are from the first device and 112 from the second.

As cameras capture images at different angles, Bodrov was able to mount a huge and very detailed photograph. To improve, the image quality is huge because it has 4 gigapixels. Amazing, isn't it?
