Get to know the amazing city built with 200,000 LEGO pieces

Passionate about LEGO will be jaw-dropping what Mike Doyle, the world's best-loved building expert, has done. He simply created a medieval city with the plastic bricks.

The buildings are inspired by fictional scenarios and took 600 hours of work to get to the end result. In addition to the time spent, Doyle used more than 200, 000 LEGO pieces to shape the 1.5 meter high and almost 2 wide minicity. According to the scenery sculptor, the original idea was to work on medieval architectural concepts, with inspiration also in the landscapes described by Tolkien in "The Lord of the Rings."

In an excerpt from an interview published on Geeky Gadgets, Doyle says he has done a lot of research on medieval castles and the result you can see below in this video is to leave anyone with their mouths open. Watch him and tell us what you think. Photos taken throughout the work's development can be viewed here.
